NUMERICAL SPACE / GEAR

I like machine elements. They are shaped by lathes or milling cutters. The shine and the feel of metal charms me.
So I made gears as one of them this time by POV. There are so many types of gears that I wondered which I select.

    Spur gear is free from thrust load and simple, used generally.

    Helical gear sometimes causes thrust load. But it works smoothly and silently.

    Bevel Gear is used for right angle rotating power transmission.

      Planetary gear mechanism is used as high ratio and heavy load reduction gear.

    Chevron gear get rid of thrust load using symmetry helival gear set. I hear that Citroen's emblem was designed from this.
